"H.O.M.E.S."
An acronym for Helping Our Men Excel Supernaturally - established on the premise that "Manliness" and "Christlikeness" are synonymous. It's Guy-time the way God meant it to be: Where men can be found at the foot of the Cross, giving their hearts humbly and resolutely to Christ. God wants you . . . uniquely YOU! to come to realize the life-changing eternally-altering work of God in the life that He has shaped, called and empowered you for. Find your lost friends, pray for them and serve them like crazy . . . then bring your friends and your faithfulness to these meetings where you learn key scriptural elements in responsibly establishing Godly male role-modeling and leadership in your home. . . the way God meant it to be.
TopSmall Groups
Time spent with fellow believers strengthens the bonds of unity within a church family. To better enable fellowship we have established various Small Groups within our body. These Groups usually change on a quarterly basis. We strongly encourage you to become involved in at least one group. You will become more connected ... knowing others and serving others, while at the same time others are knowing and serving you! Small Groups were designed to keep you from being just another face in the crowd. By being connected with others, you truly become part of the family at FWC. Types of Small Groups will vary ... for example, they may be Dinner Clubs, Bible Studies, Married Couples Groups ... or even recreational activities. Helping to ensure that all of our people belong to a Small Group is vital if we are to succeed with our objective - extending God's Kingdom here on the earth.
TopOMNI Teens
Our OMNI Teens are Fired Up About Jesus!!! OMNI Teens is an exciting place to be! In addition to our regular Sunday morning Worship Service our Teen Department meets every Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:15. Our music is cutting edge! Our teaching is formatted in discussion style so that everyone can participate! We get together frequently to socialize! (at least one major event every month). We target our kids to get them connected with God personally, to get them hooked up with other Christian teens and to get them to take a better look at their community for the purpose of spiritual societal impact. We also actively train our teens to serve now, so that as they mature they are ready to carry out leadership roles in the body. Our teen departments include-Praise and Worship, Audio/Visual, Drama and Usher.
TopWorshipping Arts
Family Worship Center is a worshipping church. Worship is an integral part of pursuing the presence of God and developing a personal relationship with Him. True worship is the place where music, text, performer and performance rise to an audience of One! Worship was never meant to be all about music. . . but music was always meant to be all about GOD. When we recognize that, we come to know the impact of the manifest presence of God in worship. By entering into the true heart of worship, the place where heart and soul become desperate for God, we find that our passion is illogical because it will not put limits on the cost of the encounter. Our ministry is not to stir the emotion of man, but to cause a stirring in the heavenlies. . one of greater passion and deeper intimacy. We are continually looking for those with a heart for true worship. If that is you . . . the Father says, "Come."
TopInfant Nursery – Children's Ministries
Our Infant Nursery introduces your infant to Jesus by providing a listening environment of Christ centered lyrics and music. We also pray continually for your children's spiritual growth and development, and that God's plan for their lives will be accomplished.
TopToddler Nursery – Children's Ministries
Our Toddler Nursery introduces the toddler to Jesus Christ by teaching them God's love from a Christ-centered curriculum, in a loving environment. We pray for their continued growth, development and God's fufilled destiny in their lives.
TopPreSchool Ministry – Children's Ministries
Our Preschool (3 year old) program teaches the child of God's love for him/her through a Christ-centered curriculum, replacing a segment of play time using crafts as a teaching tool. These young children will also begin each class with praise and worship, which we have found to be an integral part of their spiritual training.
TopKinderChurch! – Children's Ministries
KinderChurch1 (4 and 5 year olds) introduces the life of Christ and our life in Him. This is done quarterly by a study in "Jesus, My Best Friend," "Knowing God," "It Pays to Obey" and "Loving God." KinderChurch! serves as the transition from a Preschool environment to our Super Church format. Our KinderChurch! children are encouraged to bring their Bible to class (Karyn Henley's 'Beginners Bible' is excellent and easily understood by this age group). We introduce instruments in praise and worship to the 4 and 5 year olds (we provide the instruments) as well as to begin teaching the scriptural principle of giving.
TopCrossFire Kidz Super Church – Children's Ministries
CrossFire Kidz Super Church (6 years through 6th grade)... where our kids are learning to use God's principles and their faith to live out the Christian walk of love, obedience and evangelism. Super Church follows the same format as our adult service, providing the opportunity for your child to begin serving the Lord as praise and worship team members, ushers, puppeteers, etc. We are committed to the development of your child and to helping you, the parent, "train up a child in the way they should go."
TopAll–Stars for Jesus Knights – Children's Ministries
All Stars for Jesus Knights is a program for boys from our SonLight Clubs. Fun-filled study and activities to build Christian character and develop community services are offered on Wednesday evenings, September through June, for Kindergarten through 6th grade boys. Activities include field trips, earning awards and paying dues. Both boys and girls will compete in our annual "Pinewood Derby," with race cars they build from kits.
TopAll–Stars for Jesus Angels – Children's Ministries
All–Stars for Jesus Angels is a program for girls. Fun-filled study and actitivites to build Christian character and develop community service. These classes are offered on Wednesday evenings, September through June, for Preschool boys and girls, and Kindergarten through 6th grade girls. The group will involve dues, field trips, and earning badges and awards.
TopVacation Bible School – Children's Ministries
Vacation Bible School is provided annually for Preschool through 6th grade boys and girls. Each summer in June we offer a week long Bible School from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon (giving away great prizes) to keep our children growing both relationally and spiritually.
TopAgapé Gang Puppet Team – Children's Ministries
The Agapé Gang Puppet Team is a ministry to our children in Preschool through SuperChurch 6th grade, and is provided by our children. Thirteen years after its inception, this team is known nationwide for its ministry to both children and adults, performing in churches, schools, nursing homes and theaters. Our team co-hosts an Annual Puppet Festival each fall with an average attendance of over 500 puppeteers from Michigan, Ohio and Canada.
